Fighting the Funk, but Not the Music
The Yes Theory Podcast
The amount of content I've consumed over the past few months is like a hearty Italian meal. This podcast was like the chocolate cake I ate after it. I can only eat so much that I would stop halfway because I was full of all good things. I started listening to these on walks around my neighborhood and would actually finish my walk in silence because I contemplating what I just heard. It was so refreshing and sweet to be inspired by a piece of content again.
Its format dives into a topic rather than a straight interview - telling a compelling story to encourage and inspire. Yes Theory yet again achieved its goal in my book - getting me out of a creative rut and I thought about these episodes for days after listening. It acknowledges the hardship that the pandemic has brought on but created a unique space to process it. It was like hearing words come from a good friend - feeling seen and challenged in a loving way.
Some of my favorite episodes included:
- The Path to A Kinder World
- The Courage to Hope
- The Problem with Productivity
It helped me get out of the funk I found myself in, and the "How to Chase Your Dreams" episode actually inspired me to start posting again.
