Dive into a Blackhole of videos

My experience with philosophy before watching The Good Place:
#1. It was the only class I have ever fallen asleep in.
#2 There is a theory that we could all be living a dream & I seriously contemplated writing "this could all be a dream, so I hope I dream myself an A" on my final exam essay. (Sadly, I did not... but surprisingly, I did pass.)

Jubilee, the youtube channel, has become one of my favorite channels over the past couple of months. They do a lot of dialogue-based content breaking down barriers between people. This one is one of my favorites, recently released looking at Jubilee staff and their differing opinions about the work they are creating. I appreciate their authenticity of what it means to be working in a creative space as they work through challenges and struggles.

As someone newish to the adulting world, I’m learning the balance of buying enough fruits and veggies to be healthy/sustain life and not letting them rot in the fridge. And man, that is a challenge some weeks. I came across this atheistically pleasing video covering which produce was in season and providing creative ways to cook it. Not only is it helpful, it’s also beautifully shot and definitely a lesson in food photography. Please enjoy:

One of my favorite ways to unwind is cooking. It’s something about the combination of method and madness that has always intrigued me. (That, and maybe when I was growing up, I never had to do the dishes when I cooked. Now as an adult, I have a pile of dishes in my sink hoping that the dishes fairy will come and magically whisk them away.) Somewhere in a YouTube blackhole I came across this series from Epicurious called “Amateur to Expert.”

There’s no real reason for Apple to be making commercials and ads, but they’ve been killing it recently! This 3-minute video drew me in & made me wonder how their pitch actually went. It worked because it got to human nature at the core and highlighted values that can be found in any workplace
